Modifies procedures for issuing extreme risk protection order. Modifies court findings for issuing order. Requires court to schedule second hearing seven days after issuing initial ex parte order and to order respondent to engage in mental health evaluation. Directs court to, at second hearing, consider results of mental health evaluation and either terminate order or order third hearing and second mental health evaluation. Directs court to, at third hearing, terminate order or continue order for final 30 days.
Allows district school board to enter into agreement with superintendent for payment in lieu of 12 months' notice required when superintendent's employment is terminated without cause. Prohibits district school boards from taking certain actions involving superintendents of education service districts in relation to compliance with local, state or federal law. Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2023.
Exempts receipts from sales of agricultural, floricultural, horticultural, viticultural or food products from commercial activity subject to corporate activity tax. Applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2024. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
