Relates to the sale of monuments; provides no religious corporation owning, managing or controlling a cemetery shall, directly or indirectly, engage in the sale of monuments, or authorize or permit any employee or trustee or director thereof to advertise or make known his or her relationship to such religious corporation or cemetery if such person is engaged in the sale of monuments outside of his or her employment by or affiliation with the religious corporation or the cemetery.
Relates to computer-related crimes; creates the crimes unlawful disruption of computer services in the first and second degree, unlawful computer access assistance in the first and second degree, unauthorized use of internet domain name or profile, and unlawful introduction of a computer contaminant; allows for a civil action for compensatory damages for victims of such crimes.
Establishes disability retirement benefits for certain members who suffer any condition or impairment of health caused by diseases of the lung; covers certain titles under the New York city employees' retirement system; provides that covered members who are diagnosed with any condition of impairment of health caused by diseases of the lung, resulting in disability to such member, presently employed, and who shall have sustained such disability while so employed, shall have such diagnosis be presumptive evidence that such disability was incurred in the performance and discharge of duty, unless the contrary be proven by competent evidence.
Relates to the payment of costs for line of duty injuries of police officers and firefighters; requires such costs for retired members of the uniformed forces of the fire or police departments be paid by the city of New York.
Provides an exemption of any award from the September eleventh victim compensation fund from application to the satisfaction of money judgements.
Directs the department of homeland security and emergency services to conduct a study on domestic terrorism within the state and to make recommendations to address such terrorism.
Relates to the review of major transportation projects; provides that commissioners, deputy commissioners and managerial personnel who participate in the decision-making process to authorize changes in traffic patterns shall be subject to criminal and civil liability for certain damage to persons, animals or property.
