Condemning the Government of Iran's torture and murder of Mahsa Amini and its crackdown on protesters seeking basic human rights, and supporting the protesters in their demands for freedom.

This resolution condemns the Iranian regime's torture and murder of Mahsa Amini. The resolution condemns the Iranian regime's laws that discriminate against women. The resolution also condemns the Iranian regime's use of violence against those peacefully protesting the government and seeking freedom. Finally, the resolution recognizes the right to self-determination for the Iranian people struggling to establish a democratic, secular, and nonnuclear Iran.

Methane Super-Emitter Strategy Act of 2022

Methane Super-Emitter Strategy Act of 2022 This bill requires the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to enter an agreement with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to develop a science-based strategy to assess, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding the use of present and future greenhouse gas monitoring and detection capabilities.

Small Business Scorecard Enhancements Act of 2022

Small Business Scorecard Enhancements Act of 2022 This bill revises the Small Business Administration annual scorecard assessment, which is used to evaluate whether each federal agency is meeting its goals for the award of prime contracts and subcontracts to small business concerns. Specifically, the bill requires the scorecard for each federal agency to include the number and total dollar amount of awards made to (1) small businesses owned by women, (2) qualified HUBZone small businesses, (3) small businesses owned by service-disabled veterans, and (4) socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses.

Veterans Claims Education Act of 2022

Veterans Claims Education Act of 2022 This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to, upon receipt of an initial claim for benefits from a claimant that is not represented by an accredited entity, provide (1) notice that an accredited entity may assist the claimant, (2) information regarding a search tool to find an accredited entity to assist in the filing of claims, and (3) information on how and where to report an entity that is not accredited and charged a fee to assist with a claim.

Maximizing Outcomes through Better Investments in Lifesaving Equipment for (MOBILE) Health Care Act

Maximizing Outcomes through Better Investments in Lifesaving Equipment for (MOBILE) Health Care Act This bill allows a health center that currently receives funding through a Health Resources & Services Administration Health Center Program grant to use a New Access Point grant to set up a mobile unit regardless of whether the health center also establishes a permanent health care delivery site. New Access Point grants help health centers establish new delivery sites to provide comprehensive primary care to medically underserved populations. Under current law, health centers may only use the grants to set up a mobile unit if they also establish a permanent site.

Welcoming His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide spiritual head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, to the United States, including Illinois, Texas and Maryland, and recognizing his commitment to world peace, absolute justice, global unity among nations, non-violence, rejection of extremism, eradication of poverty, economic equity, service to humanity, universal human rights, international religious freedom, and democracy.

This resolution welcomes His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide spiritual head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, to Illinois, Texas, and Maryland. The resolution commends the efforts of His Holiness towards promoting a pathway to achieve individual and global peace, as well as individual and global justice. The resolution commends His Holiness for condemning extremism and terror in all its forms. Finally, the resolution commends His Holiness for his perseverance in counseling all Ahmadi Muslims to shun any form of violence, even in the face of severe persecution.

Clean Slate Act of 2021

Clean Slate Act of 2021 This bill establishes a framework for sealing records related to certain federal criminal offenses. Courts must automatically seal records related to (1) a conviction for simple possession of a controlled substance or for any nonviolent offense involving marijuana, or (2) an arrest for an offense that does not result in a conviction. Additionally, an individual who meets certain criteria may petition to seal records related to a conviction for other nonviolent offenses.

WINGMAN Act

Working to Integrate Networks Guaranteeing Member Access Now Act or the WINGMAN Act This bill directs the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide veterans with the option to grant read-only access to their records in the databases of the Veterans Benefits Administration to covered congressional employees. The covered congressional employees must be employed in the office of the Member of Congress who represents the district where the veteran resides. Under the bill, a covered congressional employee is (1) a permanent, full-time employee of a Member of Congress who is responsible for assisting constituents with federal agencies and departments; (2) designated by the Member; and (3) someone who satisfies the criteria required by the VA for recognition as an agent or attorney. However, the bill specifies that a covered congressional employee may not be recognized as an agent or attorney with respect to veterans' benefit claims.

Social Security Fairness Act of 2021

Social Security Fairness Act of 2021 This bill repeals provisions that reduce Social Security benefits for individuals who receive other benefits, such as a pension from a state or local government. The bill eliminates the government pension offset , which in various instances reduces Social Security benefits for spouses, widows, and widowers who also receive government pensions of their own. The bill also eliminates the windfall elimination provision , which in some instances reduces Social Security benefits for individuals who also receive a pension or disability benefit from an employer that did not withhold Social Security taxes. These changes are effective for benefits payable after December 2021.
