Amends the Child Care Act of 1969. Makes a technical change in a Section regarding background checks. Effective immediately.
Amends the Illinois Health Benefits Exchange Law. Provides that except as otherwise provided in the provision concerning the dissolution of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan (the Plan), the insurance operations of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan authorized by the Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan Act shall cease on January 1, 2014 (and makes conforming changes in the Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan Act). Sets forth provisions concerning service provided after January 1, 2014, grievances, balance billing, the plan of dissolution, actions by or against the Plan Board, and General Revenue Fund funds and insurer assessments in the Plan on the date of final dissolution. Provides for the repeal of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan Act on January 1, 2015. Effective immediately.
Amends the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Environmental Protection Act. Contains only a new Section provision concerning petcoke storage and handling.
Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning protection of persons.
Amends the Illinois Act on the Aging and the Department of Insurance Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Implements Executive Order 2013-1. Transfers the Senior Health Insurance Program from the Department of Insurance to the Department on Aging. Contains a severability provision. Effective immediately.
Urges the President of the United States to ensure that the United States Department of Commerce fully and thoroughly investigate all facts surrounding the South Korean companies' trade practices regarding steel products and to take necessary action against any illegal activity in this matter.
Amends the Public Safety Employee Benefits Act. Makes a technical change with respect to the short title of the Act.
Amends the Fire Protection District Act. Expands the definition of "ambulance service" to include other emergency services in addition to transportation.
Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the standard non-forfeiture law for life insurance.
