RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION.

Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources and the counties to form a Marine Debris Working Group, with other interested parties, to resolve jurisdictional issues between the State and counties regarding the removal of marine debris and provide coordination between state and county agencies that ensures the cleanup of marine debris from Hawaii's beaches and shorefronts. Establishes a Marine Debris Special Fund to provide funding to the Department of Land and Natural Resources for the removal of marine debris from shorelines and nearshore waters. (HB2625 HD2)

RELATING TO PRESERVING CORAL REEFS.

Prohibits the sale, offer for sale, or distribution for sale of non-prescription SPF sunscreen products containing octinoxate or oxybenzone. Violation of the prohibition is a petty misdemeanor. (HB2723 HD2)

RELATING TO SCHOOL IMPACT FEES.

Exempts affordable housing projects developed or financed by HHFDC or a county, housing projects that satisfy county affordable housing requirements and qualify for county fee exemptions, and affordable rental housing for which the developer received Low-Income Housing Tax Credits from school impact fees. RELATING TO HOUSING VOUCHERS.

Authorizes the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation to establish a housing voucher program for full-time classroom teachers employed by the Department of Education or by a public charter school. (HB2166 HD1)

RELATING TO INCARCERATED PARENTS.

Requires the establishment of a pilot visitation center for children of incarcerated parents at one or more correctional facilities in the State and a plan for visitation centers at all state-operated correctional facilities. Appropriates funds to the Department of Human Services to work with other stakeholders to implement this Act. (HB2160 HD1)
