RELATING TO WILDFIRE SAFETY AND PREVENTION.

Establishes the Wildfire Mitigation Working Group to develop a state wildfire mitigation plan and advise and make recommendations to state agencies concerning the State's wildfire safety and prevention efforts. Requires report to Legislature. Makes an appropriation. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO SEARCH AND RESCUE.

Requires government entities to seek reimbursement for all or a portion of search or rescue expenses for persons who require rescue after leaving a hiking trail to enter an area closed to the public or hiking on a trail closed to the public, and there is a sign giving notice of the closure. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD2)

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION.

RELATING TO GOVERNMENT.

Requires that travel reports submitted by state employees, officers, or other representatives of state departments or agencies, in connection with out-of-state or intra-state travel for purposes of official state business, be made available for public review on the Comptroller's website, subject to certain exceptions. RELATING TO UNLICENSED CONTRACTORS.

Authorizes the imposition of a penalty for unlicensed individuals performing certain work that requires a contractor license, including the offering or performing of repairs or improvements to existing structures and property and tearing down or rebuilding structures and property that were damaged or destroyed due to a natural disaster. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT.

Specifies the responsibilities of the Department of Law Enforcement's Sheriff Division regarding judicial and legislative security. Requires the Sheriff Division to pursue, obtain, and maintain accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO THE CONTROLLING INTEREST TRANSFER TAX.

Establishes that the transfer or acquisition of a controlling interest in an entity that owns real property in the State shall be subject to the conveyance tax. Eliminates the dollar cap amounts of conveyance tax collections paid into the Land Conservation Fund and Rental Housing Revolving Fund. Deposits ten per cent of conveyance tax collections into the Dwelling Unit Revolving Fund for purposes of funding infrastructure programs for transit-oriented development. Effective 1/1/3000. (HD1)
