RELATING TO FAMILY PLANNING.

Requires oocyte cryopreservation to be covered by health insurance policies. Removes 1-time benefit limitation for in vitro fertilization. Reduces from 5 to 2 the number of years of infertility before becoming eligible for in vitro fertilization. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII ATHLETICS.

Authorizes the University of Hawaii Board of Regents to terminate the Athletic Director and head coaches for cause. Requires Board of Regents approval of all coaching contracts with salaries greater than $200,000, including additional private funding and bonuses. Appropriates funds. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO REAL ESTATE BROKERS.

Allows the Real Estate Commission to revoke or suspend a license, or fine a licensee, for advertising, promoting, representing, receiving any remuneration for, or offering for rent any transient vacation units and whole-home short-term rentals unless the unit or rental is permitted by the relevant county. Effective 12/31/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO MEDICAL CARE FOR MINORS.

Permits minors to consent to medical care related to the diagnosis or treatment of HIV or the prevention of HIV. Provides that a minor, under certain circumstances, shall not be liable for payment for treatment or prevention of HIV. Provides that a health insurer of a minor's parent, guardian, custodian, or spouse shall not notify the parent guardian, custodian, or spouse of the minor's treatment or prevention of HIV. Authorizes physician assistants, in addition to physicians and advanced practice registered nurses, to render medical care and services to minors. Effective 1/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO POOLS.

For purposes of the Department of Health's authority to adopt rules concerning public health and safety, defines "pool" to mean a watertight artificial structure containing a body of water that does not exchange water with any other body of water either naturally or mechanically used for swimming, diving, recreational bathing, or therapy by humans. (SD2)

RELATING TO OFFENDER REENTRY PROGRAMS.

Requires the Department of Public Safety to expand existing model programs to make more quality correctional education courses available to interested inmates. Requires the Department of Public Safety to reward inmates who participate in or complete correctional education programs while incarcerated with subsidized health insurance, housing, or tuition after release. Expands existing vocational and work furlough programs and establishes earn and learn apprenticeships which allow eligible inmates to work towards licensure under supervised apprenticeships while getting paid. Appropriates funds. Effective 7/30/2075. (SD1)

RELATING TO WATER RATIONING.

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII RESIDENT TUITION FEE.

Expands the criteria to qualify for resident tuition fees at University of Hawaii campuses to include persons enrolled in a high school in the State and recent graduates of high schools in the State. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH SERVICES.

Includes advanced practice registered nurses with prescriptive authority in the list of health care professionals authorized to administer medication to public school students. Requires administration of the medication to be approved by the Department of Health or other complex area or school-based health care provider pursuant to a written agreement with the Department of Education.
