RELATING TO BICYCLES.

Requires all individuals operating a bicycle to ride within a bicycle lane, if a bicycle lane is available for use, and provides for the assessment of fines for each violation. (HB1632 HD1)

RELATING TO THE HAWAII EMPLOYER-UNION HEALTH BENEFITS TRUST FUND.

Prohibits the Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund (Fund) from withholding any retroactive reimbursement payable after June 30, 2013, to a retired employee-beneficiary and qualified employee-beneficiary's spouse for an income-adjusted Medicare Part B premium based on the time in which the adjustment request is made to the Fund. RELATING TO NUTRIENT CYCLING.

RELATING TO HEALTH CARE.

Appropriates funds to improve the health care services related to cardiac care at Kona Community Hospital. Funds may be used for the construction of a hybrid catheterization lab and operating room and funding of cardiology staff positions to alleviate the lack of cardiac care. Permits the Department of Health to hire physicians to serve as district health officers. (HB782 HD1)

RELATING TO EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT.

Requires the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency to amend the state emergency alert system and state emergency management plans as necessary to conform to all current federal laws and regulations that ensure the accessibility of video programming that provides emergency information. (HB2675 HD1)

RELATING TO MEDICAL EDUCATION.

RELATING TO HOMELESSNESS.

Authorizes any continuum of care to offer a stipend to volunteers assisting in the point-in-time count conducted annually to determine the number of homeless individuals in the State, as a condition of receiving federal homeless assistance from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
