Sampling of Beach Waters and Public Bathing Spaces; Revises provisions related to bacteriological sampling of beach waters & public bathing places, including rule adoption & enforcement; issuance of health advisories; closure of beach waters & public bathing places; & notification & signage requirements.
Designation of a Diagnosis on Motor Vehicle Registrations; Requires language on application form for motor vehicle registration to allow applicant to indicate that applicant has been diagnosed with, or is parent or legal guardian of child or ward who has been diagnosed with, specified disabilities or disorders; requires specified designation to be included in motor vehicle record; prohibits inclusion of specified information in motor vehicle record for certain purposes; requires DHSMV to allow specified persons to update motor vehicle registration to include or remove specified designation at any time.
Florida Retirement System; Authorizing certain retirees to be reemployed after terminating employment; prohibiting such retirees from receiving both a salary from the employer and retirement benefits for a specified period after his or her retirement; removing provisions authorizing the reemployment of certain law enforcement officers as school resource officers; revising employer contribution rates to the Florida Retirement System, etc.
Tuskegee Airmen Commemoration Day; Designates Tuskegee Airmen Commemoration Day, which occurs on fourth Thursday in March, as legal holiday.
School Teacher Training and Mentoring Program; Establishes School Teacher Training & Mentoring Program within DOE; & provides requirements for program.
Lowell Correctional Institution Body Cameras Pilot Program; Creates Lowell Correctional Institution Body Cameras Pilot Program within DOC; requires each correctional officer wear body camera on duty; requires DOC to establish policies & procedures; requires training; requires audio & video data recorded by such cameras to be maintained in accordance with public records laws; requires annual reports.
Storage of Firearms in Private Conveyances and Vessels; Prohibits storage of firearms in unoccupied private conveyances & vessels unless done so in specified manner; requires local law enforcement agencies to engage in promotional campaign.
Air Conditioning in Inmate Housing; Provides requirements for air conditioning in inmate housing units in DOC.
Termination of Pregnancies; Clarifies that certain penalties relating to unlawful termination of pregnancy do not apply to pregnant woman who terminates pregnancy.
Education; Revises provisions relating to certain trainings & instruction, school district procedures & requirements relating to parental notification, classroom instruction, instructional materials, school personnel training, BOG reviews, state university performance-based incentives, required instruction, DEI program, & general education core courses; repeals provisions relating to personal titles & pronouns.
