Relative to California Surfing Day.

This measure would recognize September 20, 2022, and every year on that date thereafter, as California Surfing Day to celebrate the California surfing lifestyle, would commend all those who honor the history, culture, and future of surfing, as well as the sport of surfing and the protection of our beach and ocean environments, would express support for future surfers and encourage potential surfing Olympians to work diligently, and would encourage all Californians to enjoy California Surfing Day.

Relative to Women's Small Business Month.

This measure would designate the month of October 2022 as Women's Small Business Month and encourage all citizens to recognize the economic importance of women's small businesses in California.

Relative to California's Sikh American Awareness and Appreciation Month.

This measure would designate the month of November 2022 to be California's Sikh American Awareness and Appreciation Month. The measure would recognize and acknowledge the significant contributions made by Californians of Sikh heritage to our state and seeks to afford all Californians the opportunity to better understand, recognize, and appreciate the rich history and shared principles of Sikh Americans. The measure would condemn all hate crimes and bias incidents against Sikh Americans and would encourage all Sikhs to practice their faith freely and fearlessly.

The National Infrastructure Bank Act of 2021.

This measure would urge the Congress of the United States to pass the National Infrastructure Bank Act of 2021 to establish the National Infrastructure Bank and facilitate the financing of urgently needed infrastructure projects in the United States.

Relative to refugees.

This measure would recognize June 20, 2022, as World Refugee Day, and urge the President and Congress of the United States to strengthen the international leadership role of the United States to find political solutions to existing conflicts, prevent new conflicts from beginning, and aid people who have been displaced by conflict, and also urge the Congress of the United States to make a bipartisan commitment to promote the safety, health, and well-being of refugees and displaced persons.

Oil spills: unified command centers: location.

This measure would request that the United States government locate unified command centers based on proximity and access to oil spills to make the unified command centers easily accessible to local agencies and local governments directly affected by the oil spill.

Relative to Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Awareness Month.

This measure would proclaim and acknowledge the month of June 2022 as Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Awareness Month in California and would reiterate the importance of annually recognizing Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Awareness Month in the state.
