This measure would proclaim the week of February 26, 2018, to March 4, 2018, inclusive, as Eating Disorders Awareness Week.
Existing law, until January 1, 2021, authorizes a county, as a pilot program, to conduct an all-mailed ballot special election or special consolidated election to fill a vacancy in a congressional or legislative office. If a county conducts an all-mailed ballot election pursuant to this pilot program, existing law requires the county to report to the Legislature and the Secretary of State regarding the success of the election, and requires the report to be posted on the Internet Web site of the county elections official. This bill would require the report to also be posted on the Internet Web site of the Secretary of State.
This measure would designate specified portions of State Highway 183, State Highway 101, and State Highway 218, in the County of Monterey, as the United States Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Edward Balli Memorial Highway, the United States Army Specialist Ricardo Cerros, Jr. Memorial Highway, the United States Army Specialist Vilmar Galarza Hernandez Memorial Highway, the United States Army Sgt. Javier Sanchez Memorial Highway, and the United States Army Private First Class Conrado D. Javier Memorial Highway. The measure would request the Department of Transportation to determine the costs of appropriate signs showing each of these special designations and, upon receiving donations from nonstate sources covering those costs, to erect those signs.
