This measure would designate the plaza at the center of the California State Capitol World Peace Rose Garden in the City of Sacramento as the Chief Justice Rose Elizabeth Bird Justice For All Plaza. The measure would also request the Department of General Services to determine the cost of erecting appropriate plaques and markers showing the designation and, upon receiving donations, to cover the cost to erect signage.
This measure would declare that the Legislature supports a reduction to the threshold for tax-exempt bond financing and joins the Treasurer in urging the passage of the federal Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act of 2023.
This measure would recognize the importance of access to local parks, trails, open space, and facilities for the health, wellness, development, inspiration, and safety of all Californians and would declare the month of July 2023 as "Parks Make Life Better!®" Month.
Existing law establishes the Cybersecurity Regional Alliances and Multistakeholder Partnerships Pilot Program to address the cybersecurity workforce gap. Existing law requires the office of the Chancellor of the California State University to select any number of California State University campuses, with preference given to campuses that have or are developing regional pipeline programs in cybersecurity with the California Community Colleges, to participate in the pilot program through an application and selection process. Existing law requires each selected campus to create a pilot program with goals and metrics, measure the impact and results of its pilot program, and annually share the impact and results with the chancellor's office. Existing law requires the chancellor's office to annually report the impact and results from each selected campus's pilot program to the Legislature. This bill would require the chancellor's office, on or before July 1, 2028, to submit a report to the Legislature on the pilot program, as provided.
The California Retail Food Code (code) authorizes the governing body of a city, county, or city and county, by ordinance or resolution, to permit microenterprise home kitchen operations (MHKO) if certain conditions are met. Existing law requires an MHKO, as a restricted food service facility, to meet specified food safety standards, including, among others things, that the food is prepared, cooked, and served on the same day. Under existing law, the food preparation is limited to no more than 30 individual meals per day, or the approximate equivalent of meal components when sold separately, and no more than 60 individual meals, or the approximate equivalent of meal components when sold separately, per week. Existing law also requires an MHKO to have no more than $50,000 in verifiable gross annual sales, as adjusted annually for inflation. A violation of the code is a misdemeanor. This bill would require the food preparation to be limited to no more than 90 individual meals, as defined, or the approximate equivalent of meal components when sold separately, per week. The bill would also allow an MHKO to have no more than $100,000 in verifiable gross annual sales, adjusted for inflation. This bill would declare that it is to take effect immediately as an urgency statute.
This measure would express the Legislature's support for the creation of policies to decrease the rising number of deaths of Americans as a result of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) . The measure would declare the importance of enhanced public awareness of comprehensive cardiovascular screening programs to allow for earlier identification of patients at risk of cardiovascular events. The measure would also declare the importance of collaboration on statewide cardiovascular planning to accelerate quality improvements in care rendered to these patients.

This measure would designate the Ayala Drive overcrossing at postmile marker 17.437 on State Route 210 in the County of San Bernardino as the Scott "Buckshot" Schwingel Memorial Overcrossing. The measure would request the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of appropriate signs showing this special designation and, upon receiving donations from nonstate sources covering that cost, to erect those signs.
