Uniform Statewide Building Code; multifamilyresidential housing construction projects; electric vehicle charginginfrastructure standards. Requires the Board of Housing and CommunityDevelopment to promulgate regulations for electric vehicle charging infrastructure standards for multifamily residential housing constructionprojects consisting of more than 25 residential dwelling units. Thestandards shall require a developer of such multifamily residentialhousing construction projects to ensure that at least 25 percentof the available parking spaces are electric vehicle charging readyduring the design and construction process. Landlords, condominiumunit owners' associations, and property owners' associations shallbe authorized to negotiate with electric vehicle charging providerswith respect to the installation and maintenance of electric vehiclecharging infrastructure and any related revenue sharing. The billalso requires the Board to promulgate such regulations by January1, 2025, and provides that such regulations shall only apply to anynew multifamily residential housing construction projects approvedby a locality after January 1, 2025.
