Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2022

Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2022 This bill directs specified federal financial agencies to establish rules regarding digital assets. The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) must establish a rule classifying digital asset wallet providers, cryptocurrency miners, validators, and others as money service businesses. In addition, FinCEN must require U.S. persons to report cryptocurrency transactions through foreign accounts of over $10,000. FinCEN must also require digital asset kiosk owners and administrators to submit and update every three months the physical addresses of the kiosks. The Department of the Treasury must prohibit financial institutions from handling, using, or transacting business with (1) digital asset mixers, privacy coins, and other anonymity-enhancing technologies; and (2) digital assets that have been anonymized by these technologies. Treasury, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission must establish risk examination and review processes for anti-money laundering requirements for their respective regulated entities.

CONTRACT Act of 2021

Continuity for Operators with Necessary Training Required for ATC Contract Towers Act of 2021 or the CONTRACT Act of 2021 This bill exempts certain air traffic controllers from a required reduction in their retirement annuity payment on account of earnings from certain work performed while entitled to such annuity. Under current law, retired Federal Aviation Administration air traffic controllers receive an annuity payment during the period between the mandatory retirement age of 56 and the Social Security minimum age of 62. Such annuity payment is required to be reduced by a certain percentage of any excess earnings during this period. The bill exempts from such reduction in annuity payments an air traffic controller who participates in the Air Traffic Control Contract Program (a public-private partnership for air traffic control services) following mandatory retirement.

Private Markets Transparency and Accountability Act

Private Markets Transparency and Accountability Act This bill requires certain private companies to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and thereby publicly disclose business practices and financial information. Under current law, companies with assets exceeding $10 million and with a class of securities held by either 2,000 persons, or 500 persons who are not accredited investors, must register with the SEC. In addition, the bill requires companies to register if (1) their valuation exceeds $700 million, or (2) their annual revenue exceeds $5 billion and they have at least 5,000 employees.

A bill to provide for certain whistleblower incentives and protections.

Anti-Money Laundering Whistleblower Improvement Act This bill revises the management of whistleblower incentive awards for individuals providing original information relating to illegal monetary transactions, money laundering, or other financial crimes. Specifically, the bill establishes a minimum award for whistleblowers of not less than 10 percent of the collected monetary sanctions. Further, the bill establishes the Financial Integrity Fund for the payment of such awards. The fund is comprised of collected monetary sanctions and investments of the fund.

A concurrent resolution commending the bravery, courage, and resolve of the women and men of Iran demonstrating in more than 80 cities and risking their safety to speak out against the Iranian regime's human rights abuses.

This concurrent resolution commends the bravery, courage, and resolve of the women and men of Iran who are (1) participating in the current protests to defend their fundamental human rights, and (2) risking their safety to speak out against the human rights abuses committed by the Iranian regime. The resolution condemns (1) the brutal beating and death of Mahsa Amini; and (2) the violent suppression by the Iranian regime of women and men participating in the current demonstrations, including children. The resolution calls for transparent accountability for all killings of protesters by Iranian security forces. Finally, the resolution encourages continued efforts by the Biden Administration to respond to the protests, including the recent sanctioning of the Iranian morality police.
