Employee Retention Tax Credit Reinstatement Act

Employee Retention Tax Credit Reinstatement Act This bill provides for a reinstatement of the employee retention tax credit through 2021. The credit was established to compensate employers whose businesses were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic for wages paid to their employees.

Defund de Blasio’s Injection Sites Act of 2021

Defund de Blasio's Injection Sites Act of 2021 This bill prohibits federal funds from being made available to a state, local, tribal, or private entity that operates or controls an injection center (i.e., a medically supervised injection site) in violation of the federal statute commonly known as the Crack House Statute. The statute generally prohibits making facilities available for the purpose of unlawfully using a controlled substance.

9/11 Memorial and Museum Act

9/11 Memorial and Museum Act This bill directs the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to award to the official organization that operates the National September 11 Memorial & Museum a one-time grant to be used solely for the purposes of the operation, security, and maintenance of the memorial and museum. As a condition on receipt of the grant, the organization must provide for free admission to all facilities and museums associated with the memorial and museum for active and retired members of the Armed Forces, individuals who were registered first responders to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and family members of victims of such attacks; provide for dedicated free admission hours for the general public at least once a week; and allow for annual federal audits of its financial statements.

Crucial Communism Teaching Act

Crucial Communism Teaching Act This bill directs the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation to develop a civic education curriculum and oral history resources for high school students to promote understanding of certain political ideologies (e.g., communism and totalitarianism) that conflict with principles of U.S. democracy.

Promoting Advancement Through Transit Help to College Act

Promoting Advancement Through Transit Help to College Act or the PATH to College Act This bill authorizes grants for improving transit connections for students at institutions of higher education, such as by adding transit stops within walking distance of a campus or subsidizing transit costs for students. The Department of Transportation may award the grants to partnerships of public transit providers and one or more community colleges, historically Black colleges and universities, tribal colleges and universities, and other minority-serving institutions.

DHS Acquisition Review Board Act of 2021

DHS Acquisition Review Board Act of 2021 This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to establish an Acquisition Review Board to support the Management Directorate in managing DHS acquisitions. The bill lists the board's responsibilities, which include determining whether a proposed acquisition has met the requirements of key phases of the acquisition life cycle framework and is able to proceed to the next phase. The chair of the board must ensure that all actions and decisions made pursuant to the board's responsibilities are documented in an acquisition decision memorandum that includes specified elements, such as the rationale for the decision.

Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Labor relating to "COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing; Emergency Temporary Standard".

This joint resolution nullifies a Department of Labor emergency temporary standard for preventing the transmission of COVID-19 in employment settings. Under the standard issued on November 5, 2021, employers with 100 or more employees must require their onsite employees to either be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo weekly COVID-19 testing.

Recognizing the heroic efforts of United States and Coalition forces who conducted the airlift in Operation Allies Refuge.

This resolution recognizes the members of the Armed Forces who conducted the noncombatant evacuation operation airlift from Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, and honors the service and sacrifice of the men and women who participated in and supported Operation Allies Refuge. The resolution applauds the members of the U.S. Transportation Command and the Air Mobility Command of the Air Force who provided hope, saved lives, and executed their mission.
