Pregnant Women in Custody Act This bill establishes requirements to address the health needs of incarcerated women related to pregnancy and childbirth. The bill requires the Bureau of Justice Statistics to collect data on the health needs of incarcerated pregnant women at the federal, state, tribal, and local levels. With respect to incarcerated women at the federal level, the bill requires the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to provide appropriate services and programs to address the health and safety needs related to pregnancy and childbirth, as well as appropriate health care to a woman with a high-risk pregnancy; limits the use of restrictive housing for prisoners who are pregnant or in postpartum recovery; and requires the BOP to report annually on the number of administrative claims and appeals filed by pregnant inmates. With respect to incarcerated women at the state and local levels, the bill requires the Government Accountability Office to study the services and protections for pregnant incarcerated women in state and local correctional settings.

Equity in STD Testing Act This bill provides for coverage, without cost-sharing, of testing for certain sexually transmitted diseases under Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), TRICARE, Department of Veterans Affairs health benefits, and the Indian Health Service.

Lymphedema Treatment Act This bill provides for Medicare coverage of lymphedema compression treatment items. Specifically, the bill provides for coverage of standard and custom fitted gradient compression garments and other approved items that are prescribed by a physician or other specified health care professional to treat lymphedema.
Community Advantage Loan Program Permanency Act of 2022 This bill provides statutory authority for the Small Business Administration's Community Advantage Loan Program. The program provides access to capital for small business owners in underserved and low-to-moderate income communities.
Lifting American Children From Poverty Act This bill establishes a temporary interagency task force to develop a strategic plan to reduce child poverty, particularly in states that experience higher than average poverty rates. Members of the task force include representatives from relevant federal agencies, state and local governments, advocacy organizations, the private sector, and other experts.
Prevent All Soring Tactics Act of 2022 or the PAST Act of 2022 This bill addresses the practice of soring horses. The soring of horses includes various actions taken on horses' limbs to produce higher gaits that may cause pain, distress, inflammation, or lameness. Specifically, the bill expands soring regulation and enforcement at horse shows, exhibitions, sales, and auctions, including by establishing a new system for inspecting horses for soring. In addition, the bill increases penalties for violations.
Prison Staffing Reform Act of 2022 This bill requires the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to (1) complete (through an external entity) a comprehensive review of staffing across the BOP, and (2) implement a plan for filling vacancies.
