HRES 34 is a non-binding resolution expressing the House of Representatives' view that the federal government should drop all charges against Edward Snowden. HR 2480: Securing Semiconductor Supply Chains Act of 2025

This bill directs the SelectUSA program (within the Commerce Department) to collaborate with state economic development organizations to attract foreign investment for U.S. semiconductor manufacturing, focusing on fabrication, advanced packaging, and materials/equipment. It requires SelectUSA to gather state input within 180 days on barriers and opportunities for foreign investment, and to submit a congressional report within two years detailing strategies to boost such investment. The bill does not authorize new funding but leverages existing resources to strengthen domestic semiconductor supply chains and reduce reliance on foreign production. S 318: ANCHOR Act

The ANCHOR Act requires the National Science Foundation (NSF) Director to create a plan within one year to improve cybersecurity and internet connectivity for ocean research vessels operated by U.S. universities and laboratories. The plan must assess current needs - like secure data sharing, telemedicine for crew, and real-time scientific collaboration - along with costs for equipment (e.g., satellite systems) and training. It specifically targets the U.S. Academic Research Fleet, defined as NSF-funded vessels used for ocean science. The bill does not provide new funding but mandates a roadmap for upgrading these vessels’ technology to support safe and effective research.

S 1639: American Innovation and Jobs Act

This bill allows businesses to immediately deduct research and development (R&D) costs instead of spreading them over 60 months, directly benefiting companies investing in innovation. It increases the refundable R&D credit cap for small businesses from $250,000 to $750,000 over time, with specific phase-in amounts starting in 2025. S 196: MAIN Event Ticketing Act

Mitigating Automated Internet Networks for Event Ticketing Act or the MAIN Event Ticketing Act This bill expands measures to protect the security and integrity of online ticket sales. This includes using software applications that circumvent access control systems or security measures. In addition, online ticket sellers must establish, implement, and maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the security, confidentiality, integrity, or availability of the seller's website or service.  Further, online ticket sellers must report known incidents of circumvention to the Federal Trade Commission and take reasonable steps to address any such incidents. The bill establishes civil penalties for violations of the provisions of this bill (and related prohibitions under current law) and authorizes the commission to bring civil actions for such violations. Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies must coordinate as appropriate with the commission to share information about known instances of cyberattacks against the websites or online services used by ticket sellers.
