SB 640: Criminal Offenses - As introduced, adds to the offense of reckless endangerment the Class A misdemeanor offense that a person left a loaded, unsecured firearm in a location that endangered the life of a child under 14 years of age, and the Class B misdemeanor offense of knowingly authorizing a child under 12 years of age to use a firearm except when the child is under the supervision of an adult. - Amends TCA Section 39-13-103.

SB 1307: Arbitration - As introduced, prohibits, with exceptions, an employer from requiring an employee or prospective employee who is a member of the Tennessee national guard or the uniformed services of the United States to waive certain rights or agree to binding arbitration of certain claims; requires a waiver or arbitration agreement executed by a service member employee to be knowing, voluntary, and recorded in a signed writing to be enforceable. - Amends TCA Title 8 and Title 29.

SB 691: State Inmates - As introduced, specifies minimum reimbursement rates to counties for the housing of state inmates; states that the reimbursement rate for housing state prisoners shall not be less than the following amounts per inmate per day: for the period of July 1, 2017, until June 30, 2019, not less than $42.00; and for the period of July 1, 2019, and thereafter, not less than $47.00. - Amends TCA Title 8 and Title 41.
