Susan Harwood Training Grant Program Authorization Act

Susan Harwood Training Grant Program Authorization Act This bill provides statutory authority for the Susan Harwood Training Grant Program, which awards grants to employer associations, labor unions, and other organizations to provide education and training to employees and employers on workplace safety and health. This training must include information on employee rights and employer responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

To award a Congressional Gold Medal to the Freedom Riders, collectively, in recognition of their unique contribution to Civil Rights, which inspired a revolutionary movement for equality in interstate travel.

This bill provides for the presentation of a Congressional Gold Medal to the Freedom Riders, in recognition of their contribution to civil rights by fighting for equality in interstate travel.

Complete Streets Act of 2021

Complete Streets Act of 2021 This bill directs each state to establish a competitive program to provide technical assistance and grants for the design and construction of complete streets to make transit routes safer and more accessible. Specifically, the bill directs the Department of Transportation (DOT) to establish benchmarks and guidance by which states can implement complete streets programs and eligible entities can carry out complete streets policies and principles; eligible entities seeking technical assistance or funds for a complete streets program to adopt policies using complete streets principles that are approved by the state or metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) with jurisdiction over such entites; states and MPOs to certify that their complete street policies meet the minimum requirements set out by DOT; states to set aside 5% of their federal highway money to implement a complete streets program; and states and MPOs to adopt design standards for federal surface transportation projects that provide for the safe and adequate accommodation of all users of the surface transportation network, including motorized and non-motorized users, in all phases of project planning, development, and operation.

PAID Act

Prohibit Auto Insurance Discrimination Act or the PAID Act This bill prohibits an automobile insurer from considering specified factors when determining a consumer's insurance rates or eligibility. These prohibited factors include gender, employment status, zip code, census tract, marital status, and credit score. Automobile insurers must make underwriting rules and rate filings available to the public. The Federal Trade Commission may enforce a violation of these requirements as an unfair or deceptive act or practice.

West Coast Ocean Protection Act of 2021 This bill prohibits the Department of the Interior from issuing a lease for the exploration, development, or production of oil or natural gas in any area of the Outer Continental Shelf off the coast of California, Oregon, or Washington.

Commission on Domestic Terrorism Act of 2021

Commission on Domestic Terrorism Act of 2021 This bill establishes in the legislative branch the National Commission on Domestic Terrorism. The commission shall investigate relevant facts and circumstances relating to the federal government's failure to respond to and prevent acts of domestic terrorism in the past 20 years, including relating to the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021; identify, review, and evaluate the lessons learned from such acts regarding the structure, coordination, and management arrangements of the federal government, and, if appropriate, state and local governments and nongovernmental entities, relative to detecting, preventing, and responding to domestic terrorist attacks; and report to the President and Congress.

HEAR Act of 2021

Help Extend Auditory Relief Act of 2021 or the HEAR Act of 2021 This bill provides for Medicare coverage of hearing aids and hearing rehabilitation services. Covered services include hearing aid assessments, fittings, and related instructional services.

Stop Arctic Ocean Drilling Act of 2021

Stop Arctic Ocean Drilling Act of 2021 This bill prohibits the Department of the Interior from issuing or renewing a lease or any other authorization for the exploration, development, or production of oil, natural gas, or any other mineral in the Arctic Ocean, including the Beaufort Sea and Chukchi Sea Planning Areas.
