Provides that student who legally entered United States under Compact of Free Association treaty between United States and Republic of Palau, Republic of the Marshall Islands or Federated States of Micronesia and who has not previously established residence in any state or territory of United States other than Oregon qualifies for exemption from nonresident tuition and fees at public universities if student meets other tuition equity requirements ] and is eligible to receive state and university scholarships or other financial aid . Provides that student who is refugee or special immigrant visa holder and who has not previously established residence in any state or territory of United States other than Oregon qualifies for exemption from nonresident tuition and fees at public universities and is eligible to receive state and university scholarships or other financial aid . Directs State Parks and Recreation Commission to study and make recommendations on collaboration between commission and federal government regarding implementation of Siskiyou national monument. Requires commission to submit report on findings to Legislative Assembly by January 1, 2021.
Requires school districts to provide instruction and drills on how to prepare for and survive after natural disaster. ] Directs Department of Education to develop curriculum relating to earthquake and tsunami safety. Requires school districts to implement curriculum unless districts provide written notice to State Resilience Officer. ] Directs Department of Education to establish and administer pilot program to assist school districts in providing age-appropriate instruction on natural disasters.
