Provides that state structural specialty code does not apply to structure located on farm or forest operation and used for purpose related to agriculture that requires not more than 20 persons to occupy structure at any one time outside of harvest season or not more than 40 persons to occupy structure at any one time during harvest season.
Repeals corporate activity tax. Applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2024. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
Requires law enforcement agencies to take DNA sample of person arrested for certain crimes. Requires destruction of sample, upon person's request, if arrest is followed by acquittal, dismissal, reversal of conviction or expiration of statute of limitations. Removes provisions directing Department of State Police to prioritize testing of certain DNA samples when funds are limited. Includes obtaining and analyzing DNA samples of arrested persons as purpose for which moneys may be allocated from Criminal Fine Account. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
Modifies procedures for issuing extreme risk protection order. Modifies court findings for issuing order. Requires court to schedule second hearing seven days after issuing initial ex parte order and to order respondent to engage in mental health evaluation. Directs court to, at second hearing, consider results of mental health evaluation and either terminate order or order third hearing and second mental health evaluation. Directs court to, at third hearing, terminate order or continue order for final 30 days.
Allows lands zoned for exclusive farm use to be used for weddings or events east of the summit of the Cascade Range.
Eliminates daylight saving time standard of time, and requires State of Oregon to remain on standard time for entirety of calendar year.
Allows district school board to enter into agreement with superintendent for payment in lieu of 12 months' notice required when superintendent's employment is terminated without cause. Prohibits district school boards from taking certain actions involving superintendents of education service districts in relation to compliance with local, state or federal law. Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2023.
