Veterans Member Business Loan Act

Maddy summaryThis bill amends the Federal Credit Union Act to clarify that business loans made to veterans qualify as "member business loans" under existing credit union regulations. It specifically adds "made to a veteran" to the definition of such loans, aligning with the standard military veteran definition in 38 U.S.C. §101. This change directly affects federally insured credit unions that offer business loans, ensuring loans to veteran-owned businesses are counted toward regulatory requirements. The amendment does not create new funding or programs but adjusts how existing business loans are categorized.
