Relates to the creation of the New York farm to school and school garden fund; allows individuals to make a gift on their personal tax form for such fund; such fund will be used to establish school gardens and purchase equipment and educational materials to promote students' consumption of local products conducted in cooperation with the department of agriculture and markets.
Requires the issuance of certificates of occupancy for rental property damaged by fire.
Relates to penalties for code violations; provides penalties for second and third code violations.
Requires that all wine and liquor sold in the state be received from a primary American source of supply; such a source shall be the manufacturer or its exclusive agent, when the wine or liquor can be secured from the manufacturer or its exclusive agent by a wholesaler in the United States; provides that primary American sources of supply shall register with the state liquor authority.
Relates to the geriatric demonstration program to promote mental health and home care collaboration; authorizes the commissioner of mental health and the commissioner of health to waive rules and regulations to address barriers to collaboration by mental health providers and providers of home care services; provides further that regulations pertaining to patient safety may not be waived, nor shall regulations be waived if such waiver would risk patient safety.
Establishes the Syracuse city school district regional STEAM high school to provide instruction to students in the Onondaga, Cortland and Madison county BOCES and the central New York region in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM).
Establishes an Alzheimer's disease outreach and education program for medical and non-medical professionals to promote earlier identification of Alzheimer's and to provide information and other assistance in finding community support for caregivers.
