Enacts the "Shepherd Patterson law"; requires a physician who treats a minor patient with a medical condition that may cause a disability to provide certain educational information to such patient's parents or guardians indicating such minor is entitled to a free and appropriate public education as defined under section five hundred four of the federal rehabilitation act of nineteen hundred seventy-three; makes related provisions.
Requires certain providers of health care policies to provide coverage for colorectal cancer early detection in accordance with the American cancer society guidelines; requires the insurance carriers to notify enrollees of such coverage and screening guidelines via mail.
Prohibits agencies from charging a fee for records where an electronic copy is already available from a previous request made within the past six months; requires that fees be apportioned equally among requestors when more than one request is made for identical records before such request has been fulfilled.
Relates to a license to sell liquor at retail for consumption on certain premises; provides an exemption on restrictions for certain manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers from sharing an interest in a liquor license.
Prohibits forensic child custody evaluators who have been terminated for cause from appearing as an expert witness in family court custody and visitation proceedings.
Requires that websites providing incarcerated individual information be searchable by the incarcerated individual's name, former name or alias.
Relates to granting retroactive Tier II membership in the New York state and local police and fire retirement system for Giuseppe T. Rosini.
Requires children's non-regulated camps to ascertain whether an employee or volunteer is listed on the state sex offender registry pursuant to article six-C of the correction law and the national sex offender registry using the national crime and information center, established under the Adam Walsh child protection and safety act of 2006 (42 U.S.C. 16901 et seq.).
Provides for state recognition and acknowledgement of the Montaukett Indians; provides that the Montaukett Indians shall have a chief or sachem, three tribal trustees and a tribal secretary; further provides for the qualification of voters; makes related provisions.
