Enacts the student suicide prevention act, requiring local educational agencies to produce policies, procedures, and guidelines which direct teachers and other school employees on how to respond to students who have demonstrated suicidal thoughts or intentions.
Establishes a maximum temperature in school buildings and indoor facilities; provides a definition of extreme heat condition days and the standard to measure room temperature.
Relates to support orders for adult dependent children; provides that parents or kinship caregivers of an adult child under the age of 26 are chargeable with support of such individual provided such individual is diagnosed with a developmental disability as defined in section 1.03 of the mental hygiene law.
