Relates to support orders for adult dependent children; provides that parents or kinship caregivers of an adult child under the age of 26 are chargeable with support of such individual provided such individual is diagnosed with a developmental disability as defined in section 1.03 of the mental hygiene law.
Relates to remedies for violations of the New York state uniform fire prevention and building code act which threaten imminent physical harm to occupants of a property.
Creates a veterans' mental health and suicide prevention task force to examine, evaluate and determine how to improve mental health and suicide prevention for our veterans.
Relates to stretch limousine safety requirements and changes the class of license required to operate stretch limousines; stretch limousines are vehicles that have a seating capacity of nine or more.
Relates to the punishment for certain traffic infractions committed by an operator of a stretch limousine or other motor vehicle designed or modified for purposes of having a seating capacity of nine or more passengers.
Establishes the stretch limousine passenger safety task force to conduct a comprehensive review of matters influencing the safety, adequacy, efficiency, and reliability of stretch limousine transportation of passengers for compensation.
Relates to drug and alcohol testing and requirements for for-hire vehicle drivers and motor carriers.
Requires the commissioner of transportation to establish, maintain, monitor and publicize a hotline operated and maintained by the department of motor vehicles through which any person may report safety issues with stretch limousines and to use such reports when determining withdrawing a motor carrier's operating authority or denying applications for new or revised operating authority.
Relates to terminal rental adjustment clauses in motor vehicle leases; provides that any increase in the consideration given pursuant to such clause upon termination of the lease shall be subject to tax, and that any decrease in the consideration given pursuant to such clause upon termination of the lease shall allow the lessor to claim a credit or refund of tax on such amount.
