Relates to the transfer and conveyance of certain property to the town of Goshen

Maddy summaryThis bill authorizes the transfer of the wastewater treatment plant and its associated land to the Town of Goshen from the state's Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center campus. It amends existing state laws to allow the property to be conveyed for a nominal fee rather than fair market value to ensure the town can continue providing essential wastewater services to the psychiatric center. The legislation requires the state Office of Mental Health to set specific terms in a written agreement to guarantee the plant's ongoing operation and maintenance at a reasonable cost. Additionally, the bill mandates that the state notify its legislative leaders before the transfer takes effect.

Commemorating the 4th Annual Honor Flight Day in the State of New York

Maddy summaryThis bill is a resolution that officially designates April 22, 2026, as the 4th Annual Honor Flight Day in New York State. It directly affects the Honor Flight Network and its volunteers, who organize trips for veterans to visit national memorials in Washington, D.C. The resolution acknowledges the service of New York veterans and commends the efforts of the organization's leadership and supporters. No new laws or funding are created; the text simply pauses legislative proceedings to honor the event and sends a copy of the resolution to the organization's executive officer.

Authorizes the Goshen central school district to establish an insurance reserve fund

Maddy summaryThis bill authorizes the Goshen Central School District to create an insurance reserve fund to help cover specific insurance claims and legal judgments. The legislation amends state law to allow this district, along with several other named school districts, to set aside money for losses related to risks where insurance is permitted under current regulations. It explicitly prevents the use of these funds for certain excluded risks and for any losses already covered by other existing reserve funds. The measure takes effect immediately upon passage, providing a direct financial tool for the district to manage potential insurance liabilities.
