Amends the Automated External Defibrillator Act. Requires that every public elementary school and every public secondary school in this State have at least one automated external defibrillator in the school building, located in a common area of the building. Effective January 1, 2004.
Amends the State Finance Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Tobacco Settlement Recovery Fund.
Mourns the death of Rabbi Irving P. Glickman.
Amends the Illinois Century Network Act. Provides that the Network shall provide broadband access to certain businesses to encourage expansion of broadband in underserved areas. Effective immediately.
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that, within 72 hours after any person has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating compounds or with leaving the scene of an accident involving death or personal injury, the circuit clerk of the county where the offense was committed must notify the Secretary of State of the charges. Provides that the Secretary, upon receiving the notification, must revoke the driving privileges of the person against whom the charges are pending. Provides that the circuit clerk must notify the Secretary of the final disposition of the case. Provides that the revocation must remain in effect if the person is adjudicated guilty and must be rescinded if the person is adjudicated not guilty.
Amends the Secretary of State Act. Makes technical changes in a Section regarding the oath of office.
Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code, the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act, the Non-Support Punishment Act, the Income Withholding for Support Act, and the Illinois Parentage Act of 1984. Provides that if there is an unpaid arrearage or delinquency equal to at least one month's support obligation on the termination date stated in the order for support or, if there is no termination date stated in the order, on the date the child attains the age of majority or is otherwise emancipated, then the periodic amount required to be paid for current support of that child immediately prior to that date shall automatically continue to be an obligation, not as current support but as periodic payment toward satisfaction of the unpaid arrearage or delinquency. Provides that the periodic payment shall be in addition to any periodic payment previously required for satisfaction of the arrearage or delinquency. Provides that each order for support entered or modified on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act must contain a statement notifying the parties of these requirements. Makes other changes. Effective January 1, 2005.
Amends the Technology Advancement and Development Act. Makes a technical change in a Section relating to technology enterprise center requirements.
Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Makes a stylistic change in a provision relating to quick-take proceedings.
