Amends the State Employees Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides the alternative formula for Central Management Services automotive shop supervisors. Exempts the change from the provisions concerning new benefit increases. Effective immediately.
Amends the Election Code, the General Assembly Compensation Act, and the Legislative Commission Reorganization Act of 1984. Changes the general primary election from the first Tuesday in February of even-numbered years to the third Tuesday in March of even-numbered years. Makes conforming changes with respect to (i) filing of declarations of judicial retention and (ii) printing and mailing of legislators' newsletters and brochures.
Appropriates $1,500,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services for costs associated with a statewide health information technology resource and support center. Effective July 1, 2009.
Creates the Ultrasound Opportunity Act. Provides that a facility that performs abortions may not perform an abortion on a woman without first offering the woman an opportunity to receive and view an active ultrasound of her unborn child at the facility or at a facility listed in a listing of local ultrasound providers provided by the facility. Sets forth requirements for the ultrasound image. Requires that the woman's response to the offer be documented. Requires the Department of Public Health to prepare an annual reporting form for facilities that perform abortions, and sets forth information that must be collected. Effective immediately.
Amends the Illinois Power Agency Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971. Prohibits charging retirees under the State employee and university retirement systems, or their survivors, premiums for dental and vision benefits under the group health benefits program. Effective July 1, 2010.
Amends the Fish and Aquatic Life Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the administration of the Code.
Amends the Service Member's Employment Tenure Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Eminent Domain Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Abused and Neglected Long Term Care Facility Residents Reporting Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
