Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning limitation on recovery in tort actions.
Amends the Motor Fuel Tax Law. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides for an increase in Medicaid rates for nursing homes for the sole purpose of increasing wages or providing new or enhanced employee benefits for non-supervisory employees. Requires nursing homes to apply for the rate increase. Requires nursing homes to document the use of moneys paid to them under this provision, and provides for penalties if the Department of Healthcare and Family Services determines that a nursing home spent any of the moneys for a purpose other than increasing wages or providing new or enhanced benefits for non-supervisory employees. Effective immediately.
Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that the Illinois Commerce Commission shall make available in print, upon request and at no charge, and on its World Wide Web site, information on where customers of gas utilities and alternative gas suppliers can address any complaint with regard to the provision of service, sales tactics, and rates. Provides that the Commission shall log all complaints it receives pursuant to specified provisions and publish them by category and provider on an annual basis or make the information available through its World Wide Web site.
Amends the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law in the Property Tax Code. Makes a technical change in a Section authorizing the Department of Revenue to adopt rules.
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code and the State Finance Act. Provides that a person may not transport a child under 16 years of age as a passenger on a motorcycle, motor driven cycle, or motorized pedalcycle unless: the child is wearing protective headgear and the chin strap is properly fastened; or the person is the child's parent or legal guardian and the person is carrying a Child Passenger Permit. Provides that a parent or legal guardian of a child under 16 years of age may apply to the Secretary of State for a Child Passenger Permit to allow the child named in the Child Passenger Permit to be a passenger of that parent or legal guardian on a motorcycle, motor driven cycle, or motorized pedalcycle without wearing protective headgear. Contains provisions regarding: fees; issuance; validity; display; altered, counterfeit, or otherwise invalid permits; confiscation; penalties; and other matters.
Appropriates $2,600,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for the purpose of making grants to the Metropolitan Chicago Hospital Council for support of the Illinois Poison Center. Effective July 1, 2007.
Amends the Humane Care for Animals Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the State Finance Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning special funds.
Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Makes a technical change in provisions concerning venue.
