VEH CD-TRUCK SIZE & WEIGHT

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a local highway jurisdiction may issue permits for the movement, to or from a farm or other production agriculture facility, of divisible and non-divisible loads of production agriculture commodities and goods used in production agriculture that exceed posted local size and weight limits. Provides that the permitted size and weight of these loads may not exceed the limits allowed on State highways. Effective immediately.

SCH CD-DRESS CODE REQUIRED

Amends the School Code. Requires a school board (other than the Chicago Board of Education) to adopt a dress code policy to apply to students beginning with the 2007-2008 school year. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.

FAIRS-PREMISES ID-LIVESTOCK

Amends the Department of Agriculture Law. Provides that the Department shall not require a premises identification number to exhibit or enter livestock or horses at any fair or exhibition in Illinois, unless required by federal law or regulation, without first receiving approval for such a requirement from the governing board of the fair or exhibition.

Amends the State Treasurer Act. Requires the Treasurer to post information on his or her official website concerning the investment of public funds. Sets forth the required information. Does not require posting of information that is exempt from inspection and copying under the Freedom of Information Act.

PEN CD-TRS-SUBJECT SHRTGE AREA

Amends the Downstate Teacher Article of the Illinois Pension Code. In provisions defining "eligible employment" for the purpose of allowing teachers to return to teaching in subject shortage areas without impairing his or her retirement status or retirement annuity, removes the June 30, 2008 ending date. Includes language exempting the changes from provisions concerning new benefit increases. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.

ETHICS-COMM COLLEGES-LOCAL GOV

Amends the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act. Classifies community college districts as units of local government that must adopt resolutions regulating the political activities and the solicitation and acceptance of gifts by their officials and employees (now, classified as State agencies subject to the entire Act's regulation and enforcement by the Executive Ethics Commission and the Governor's Executive Inspector General). Effective immediately.
