Amends the Disposition of Remains Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning liability under the Act.
Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that a Section of the Code that provides for an abatement of unpaid taxes and existing liens for certain property that is acquired by a unit of local government also applies to forest preserve districts (now, counties, municipalities, school districts, and park districts only).
Amends the Ticket Sale and Resale Act. In the requirements for exemptions from the prohibition against reselling tickets for a price that is more than the price on the face of the ticket and more than the price of the ticket at the box office, requires an operator of an Internet auction listing service or an Internet website to comply with all applicable requirements of the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act and collect and remit all applicable federal, State, and local taxes including, but not limited to, local amusement taxes (instead of requiring an operator to either: comply with all applicable requirements of the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act and collect and remit all applicable federal, State, and local taxes; or publish a notice on the website that automatically informs the ticket reseller of the ticket reseller's potential legal obligation to pay any applicable local amusement tax in connection with the reseller's sale of tickets). Also changes provisions concerning the disclosure of certain information about resellers to law enforcement or other government tax officials upon request.
Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that municipalities with a population of greater than 1,000,000 shall require their police officers to wear and use body cameras and to create policies concerning the wearing and use of body cameras on or before January 1, 2017. Limits home rule powers. Effective immediately.
Appropriates $300,000,000 in FY 15 supplemental funding from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for the Child Care Services program. Effective immediately.
Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. In the statute concerning stalking, defines "places a person under surveillance" to include tracking the person through any available technological means. Provides that a person also commits aggravated stalking when he or she commits stalking and causes severe and permanent disability, great bodily harm, or disfigurement. Makes this violation a Class 1 felony.
Amends various Acts relating to the governance of public universities and community colleges in Illinois. Provides that a public university or community college district may not prohibit a student from registering for classes or refuse to issue a student transcript solely because the student owes the university or district money. Effective immediately.
Calls upon the Mississippi Legislature to take statutory action to remove any depiction of the "Battle Flag of the Confederacy" from the design of the flag of the State of Mississippi.
Amends the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the School Code's construction.
