Amends the Income Withholding for Support Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Act's short title.
Amends the Metropolitan Transit Authority Act, the Illinois Vehicle Code, and the Criminal Code of 2012. Provides that, except when greater penalties are imposed in the aggravated battery statute, aggravated battery that causes permanent disability or disfigurement is a Class 2 (rather than a Class 3) felony. Effective immediately.
Amends the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act. Provides that any intergovernmental contract for joint self-insurance among public agency members that is executed, amended, or renewed on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act must authorize a public agency member to terminate its participation in the joint insurance pool or intergovernmental cooperative after giving written notice to the joint insurance pool or intergovernmental cooperative (i) at least 90 days before terminating its participation in the joint insurance pool or intergovernmental cooperative or (ii) after some shorter period of time if mutually agreed upon by the parties to the contract.
Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Chicago Police Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that, for policemen born on or after January 1, 1955, beginning on January 1, 2015, automatic annual increases shall be 3% and such policemen shall not be subject to the 30% maximum increase. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.
Amends the Riverboat Gambling Act. Adds to the duties of the Illinois Gaming Board the retention of the Chicago Police Department as security personnel and the conducting of investigations, searches and seizures, arrests, and other duties imposed under the Act if an owners license is awarded that allows for the conduct of gambling within the City of Chicago. Effective immediately.
Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Provides that a non-judicial probation adjustment plan includes any appropriate action with the concurrence of the school district where the minor resides.
Mourns the death of Terrence Patrick Allen of Palatine.
Mourns the death of Frank A. Bauer of Chicago.
