Amends the Regional Transportation Authority Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Use Tax Act and the Service Use Tax Act. Provides that the terms "retailer maintaining a place of business in this State" and "serviceman maintaining a place of business in this State" include a retailer or serviceman having any representative, agent, salesperson, canvasser, independent contractor, or solicitor operating in this State under the authority of the retailer or serviceman or its subsidiary for the purpose of selling, delivering, installing, assembling, or taking orders for any tangible personal property. Provides that an advertising link or affiliate marketing link on a website is not sufficient to qualify the retailer or serviceman as a retailer or serviceman maintaining a place of business in this State. Effective immediately.
Nominates Geoffrey A. Richards to be a member of the Lottery Control Board.
Amends the Fire Department Promotion Act. Provides that "affected department" does not include a municipality with a population over 1,000,000, unless specifically provided for. Provides that any multi-component promotion exam administered by a fire department in a municipality with a population over 1,000,000 must be completed within 120 days after the date on which the first component is administered. Sets forth the required written notices a municipality must send to each applicant.
Nominates Paul L. Langer to be a member of the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Provides that a policy the solicitation of which involves an insurance producer, limited insurance representative, or temporary insurance producer must identify the name of the producer, representative, or firm. Further provides that an individual life or accident and health application and master policy application for life or accident and health group coverages must bear the name and signature of the licensee who solicited and wrote the application.
Nominates Craig McCrohon to be a Trustee of the Board of Trustees of the State Universities Retirement System.
Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning assistance with exports.
Nominates Richard Guebert, Jr. to be a member of the Kaskaskia Regional Port District Board.
Nominates Robert L. Mees to be a member of the Southern Illinois Economic Development Authority.
