Amends the Department of Employment Security Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Limited Liability Company Act. Reduces the fee collected by the Secretary of State for the filing of articles of organization, applications for admission, and restated articles of organization from $500 to $39 and reduces those fees in connection with a limited liability company with ability to establish series from $750 to $59. Effective immediately.
Creates the Nursing Home Residents' Managed Care Rights Act. Contains a short title provision and a provision on findings. Effective immediately.
Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.
Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the admissibility of hearsay evidence in a prosecution for elder abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation.
Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that the disabled veterans exemption for specially adapted housing applies to property up to an assessed value of $100,000 for veterans who are 100% disabled. In a Section granting a disabled veterans standard homestead exemption, provides that the veteran is not required to have qualified or obtained the exemption before death if the veteran was killed in the line of duty. Effective immediately.
Amends the General Assembly Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that participation in the General Assembly Retirement System is restricted to those individuals who first became participants before the effective date of the amendatory Act. Effective immediately.
Amends various Acts. Provides that a service member or veteran satisfies professional licensure qualifications if he or she provides the licensing Department with documentation that he or she has had substantially equivalent training or experience from his or her military service. Provides definitions of "service member", "military service", and "veteran". Effective immediately.
Amends the State Finance Act. Provides that no salary or per diem shall be paid to a member of a State board or commission that meets part-time. Defines "part-time". Provides that a member of a State board or commission may, however, be reimbursed for actual travel and other expenses as authorized by law. Effective July 1, 2013.
Amends the Savings and Loan Share and Account Act. Makes a technical change to a Section relating to joint ownership of accounts.
