OFFICIALS-CHILD SUPPORT

Amends the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act. Provides that no person may be appointed to a board, commission, authority, or task force on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act if, on the date of his or her appointment, he or she has been adjudicated in arrears in court ordered child support or maintenance, or a combination of child support and maintenance, in an amount equal to or greater than $10,000 and has been found in contempt by the court for failure to pay that support or maintenance. Amends the Election Code. Provides that statements of candidacy must include a statement that the candidate is not delinquent in the payment of court ordered child support or maintenance, or a combination of child support and maintenance, in an amount equal to or greater than $10,000. Provides that each electoral board designated for the purpose of hearing and passing upon objector's petitions shall independently verify that no candidate under its jurisdiction is delinquent in the payment of court ordered child support or maintenance, or a combination of child support and maintenance, in an amount equal to or greater than $10,000. Effective immediately.

PROP TX-SENIOR EXEMPTION

Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that, in counties with 3,000,000 or more inhabitants, taxpayers who have been granted a Senior Citizens Homestead Exemption must reapply every 2 years (instead of annually). Provides that the county board of a county with less than 3,000,000 may not require the person to reapply more frequently than every 2 years. Effective immediately.

PROP TAX-SR FREEZE-MEDICARE

Amends the Property Tax Code. With respect to the Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze Homestead Exemption, provides that beginning in assessment year 2011, the amount paid as Medicare premiums shall be deducted in determining "income". Effective immediately.

RTA BOARD-ELIMINATE BENEFITS

Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, the Illinois Pension Code, the Metropolitan Transit Authority Act, and the Regional Transportation Authority Act. Beginning on the effective date of the amendatory Act, eliminates compensation and pension and group insurance benefits for members of the Regional Transportation Authority Board, Suburban Bus Board, Commuter Rail Board, and Chicago Transit Authority Board. Effective immediately.
