Establishes requirements and permitting procedures for transportation network companies operating in the State. Makes permanent insurance requirements for transportation network companies and transportation network drivers. Effective 7/1/2050. (HD1)
Includes candidates for the board of trustees of the office of Hawaiian affairs to receive a maximum in public funds up to fifteen percent of the expenditure limit for each election. Amends ballot requirements to display candidates for the office of Hawaiian affairs board of trustees, by residency and nonresidency requirements and to randomize the order of candidate names within those groupings. Effective 7/1/3021. (HD1)
Requires landlords, lessors, or plaintiffs in a summary possession action based on nonpayment of monetary rent to submit a general excise tax license in good standing as a condition to the issuance of a writ of possession. Effective 5/6/2137. (HD1)
Requires persons in counties having a population greater than seven hundred fifty thousand who receive state funds and state financial assistance to donate unnecessary but functioning electronic devices and televisions to nonprofit organizations that will refurbish and distribute them to eligible persons in the State. Sets reporting requirements for donating entities, nonprofit refurbishers, and the department of accounting and general services. Sets administrative penalties for violations. Effective 7/1/2050. Requires the department of health to establish a task force to study the feasibility of entering into the solemn covenant of the states to award prizes for curing diseases. Effective 7/1/2060. (HD1)
Authorizes a court to order the forfeiture of one half of the employees' retirement system (ERS) benefits of an ERS member, former member, or retirant upon conviction of the individual for a felony related to the state or county employment of the individual. Authorizes designated beneficiaries to receive the ERS benefits to which the member, former member, or retirant would be entitled under this section upon the death of the member, former member, or retirant. Prohibits designated beneficiaries convicted of a felony under the same set of circumstances as the member, former member, or retirant who was subject to forfeiture of ERS benefits from receiving benefits.
