RELATING TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

Requires the City and County of Honolulu to transfer to the Department of Education all property upon which a public elementary or intermediate school is situated. Gives the Department of Education power to acquire and hold title to real, personal, or mixed property for use for public educational purposes. Requires legislative approval prior to the sale or gift of lands to which the Department of Education holds title. Appropriates funds. (CD1)

RELATING TO THE FESTIVAL OF PACIFIC ARTS.

RELATING TO AERONAUTICS.

RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE WEIGHT TAX.

Excludes the weight of disability access modifications from the determination of net weight for non-commercial vehicles for purposes of levying the state and county motor vehicle weight tax. Takes effect on 7/1/2019. (CD1)

RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION.

Requires employers to pay for all medical services required for the employee for the compensable injury and the process of recovery, even when claims are disputed. Establishes negotiation, notice, and review procedures for disputed claims. Imposes fines and penalties for failure to negotiate in good faith. Permits service providers to charge interest on late bill payments. (SB2364 HD1)

RELATING TO THE HAWAII FARM TO SCHOOL PROGRAM.

Establishes and appropriates funds for a Farm to School Grant Pilot Program within the Hawaii Department of Agriculture to provide grants to schools, early care and education centers, nonprofits, soil and water conservation districts, and food producers participating in the Hawaii Farm to School Program. Requires the Hawaii Farm to School Coordinator to submit a report to the Legislature. Makes appropriations to continue the Hawaii Farm to School Program and Coordinator position and to assist farmers and ranchers achieve Good Agricultural Practices Certification from the United States Department of Agriculture. Repeals on 6/30/2021. (SB2928 HD1)

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Replaces the current renewable energy technology systems tax credit with tax credits for solar or wind energy systems and energy storage systems. Applies to taxable years beginning after 12/31/2018. (SB2100 HD2)
