RELATING TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION.

Requires that the Board of Education hold at least two community meetings each year in each county to receive public input on public education and public library issues. Removes restriction on community meetings to allow the meetings to be held for the purpose of formulating educational policy. Exempts community meetings from certain requirements. Requires the Board of Education to video record community meetings and make video recordings available. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO REGISTRATION FEES.

Reduces the annual vehicle registration fee by fifty per cent for disabled veterans who are fifty per cent or more disabled but less than one hundred per cent disabled. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO CRIMINAL JUSTICE.

Requires all state correctional facilities to allow family members to engage in contact visitation with inmates at any state correctional facility during official visiting hours. Provides that the correctional facility shall provide each inmate with the opportunity for a minimum of two in-person, contact visits per week, with each visit lasting at least one hour. (SD1)

RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL LEASES.

Gives preference rights for an agricultural park lot and a non-agricultural park land lease to lessees who have made a significant improvement to the land that furthers commercial agricultural operations. Adds the same preferences for a non-agricultural park land lease as those for an agricultural park lot lease. Requires the department of agriculture to define "agricultural improvement" in administrative rules. (SD1)
