RELATING TO AIR AMBULANCE SERVICES.

Requires health care facilities to first request transport services from an air ambulance that is contracted with the patient's health carrier when transferring a patient to another health care facility via air ambulance. Requires notification if a non-contracted air ambulance service is utilized. Establishes a procedure for dispute resolutions.

RELATING TO FORECLOSURES.

Requires every public notice of a public sale of mortgaged property to be published three times in a newspaper, on a state website, and in a conspicuous location on the mortgaged property or unit. (HB218 HD1)

RELATING TO ENERGY TRAINING.

Requires the University of Hawaii community colleges to establish energy systems and technology training courses for county employees responsible for permitting, inspecting, licensing, and approving construction projects that contain renewable energy systems and related technology. Requires the establishment of a committee of industry stakeholders to collaborate with the University of Hawaii community colleges in developing appropriate training courses. Requires the University of Hawaii community colleges to submit a report to the legislature detailing its progress prior to the convening of the regular session of 2019. Appropriates funds. RELATING TO GRANDPARENTS.

Allows the family court to award a grandparent, upon petition to the court, custody rights to a minor child, and establishes criteria to obtain such custody. Adds criteria regarding the award by the family court of grandparent visitation rights to a minor child. (HB435 HD1)

RELATING TO MEDICAL COVERAGE FOR FIREFIGHTERS.

RELATING TO MARIJUANA.

Authorizes the interisland transportation of marijuana by medicinal marijuana patients and primary caregivers. Requires Departments of Health and Transportation to adopt rules according to chapter 91 regarding interisland transportation of marijuana. (HB836 HD1)
