RELATING TO AN APPROPRIATION FOR A KUNIA WELLS IV EXPLORATORY WELL.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Land and Natural Resources for the Board of Water Supply to offset the design and construction costs for one of four exploratory wells proposed by the Board of Water Supply for the proposed Kunia wells IV pump station to meet future potable water requirements for growth, including diversified agriculture. RELATING TO THE KANEOHE BAY REGIONAL COUNCIL.

Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to provide administrative support to the Kaneohe Bay regional council. Requires that the chairperson be selected by the members on an annual and rotating basis. Requires the council to meet quarterly. Appropriates moneys to the Department for a 0.5 FTE staff position to assist the council during meetings. Effective 12/31/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO CONVEYANCE TAX.

RELATING TO BIOSECURITY.

Creates the invasive species rapid response special fund. Adds 10 full-time equivalent (10.0 FTE) positions to the Department of Land and Natural Resources per the Hawaii interagency biosecurity plan. Adds 4 full-time equivalent (4.0 FTE) positions to the Department of Agriculture and requires the Department submit a report to the Legislature. RELATING TO HEARING AIDS.

Requires health insurance policies and contracts issued after 12/31/19 to provide coverage for the cost of hearing aids at a minimum of $1,500 per hearing aid for each hearing-impaired ear every 36 months. Exempts mandatory health care coverage from impact assessment report. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO AHUPUA‘A ‘O KAHANA STATE PARK.
