RELATING TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS WITH SEVERE MENTAL ILLNESS.

Requires DHS to establish a task force on the implementation requirements for a pilot program to provide shelter and mental health treatment to certain homeless individuals. Exempts task force from certain provisions of HRS 92 for a limited time. Appropriates funds. (SB1051 HD2)

RELATING TO SCHOOL BASED HEALTH SERVICES.

Includes advanced practice registered nurses with prescriptive authority in the list of health care professionals authorized to administer medication to public school students. Requires administration of the medication to be approved by the department of health or other on-campus, school based, health care provider pursuant to a written agreement with the department of education. RELATING TO IMMIGRATION.

Makes an appropriation to the Judiciary to contract with nonprofit organizations to provide legal assistance and legal counsel to immigrants in determining legal status and citizenship, provide diversion to existing services, and otherwise provide counsel for existing rights. (SB227 HD2)

RELATING TO TAXATION.

RELATING TO CLINICAL VICTIM SUPPORT SERVICES.

Clarifies that clinical victim support services for victims of sexual violence and abuse are a mental health outpatient services benefit required to be covered under health insurance policies offered by health insurers, mutual benefit societies, fraternal benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations. RELATING TO THE YOUTH COMMISSION.
