RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION.

Clarifies that owners of chassis used for transporting shipping containers are exempt from the requirement to keep a certificate of registration within the chassis. Authorizes these businesses to keep the original certificate of registration, motor vehicle identification card, certificate of insurance, and certificate of inspection at their principal place of business within the State and specifies that it is not a requirement to keep the original or copy of these documents on the chassis. RELATING TO LAY NETS.

Prohibits the abandonment of lay nets used for fishing. Authorizes DLNR to issue permits for the use and possession of lay nets. Requires DLNR to establish a comprehensive, statewide lay net education and enforcement program. (SB1371 HD1)

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE.

Requires the Department of Agriculture to conduct a feasibility study on the establishment of agricultural technology zones, or ag-tech zones, within the City and County of Honolulu. Appropriates funds to conduct the feasibility study. (SB1436 HD1)

RELATING TO INDIVIDUAL HOUSING ACCOUNTS.

RELATING TO STATE LIBRARY SYSTEM.

Amends the disposition of unclaimed funds in the Unclaimed Property Trust Fund to allocate funds under a certain amount to the Libraries Special Fund and to amend the threshold amount for funds transferred to the General Fund. Amends the time limit for retaining unclaimed funds in the Trust Fund. (SB978 HD2)

RELATING TO CONDOMINIUM VOTING.

Permits a condominium board to direct the use of an electronic voting device at any condominium association meeting regardless of whether a secret ballot is used or required. Requires a condominium board to take reasonable steps to ensure secrecy and integrity of the votes, and that an audit trail be available after the meeting. (SD1)

RELATING TO LIQUOR.

Adds unlicensed sale of liquor and unlicensed manufacture of liquor as offenses for which property is subject to forfeiture and increases the grade of the offense of unlicensed sale of liquor to a class C felony. Amends definitions of "organized crime" and "racketeering activity" to include the unlicensed sale of liquor. (SD1)

RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES.

Prohibits written nondisclosure agreements involving sexual assault and sexual harassment as part of an employee's conditions of employment. Prohibits employers from retaliating against an employee for disclosing or discussing sexual harassment or sexual assault. (SB1041 HD2)
