RELATING TO ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE.

Establishes an outreach program in the department of health to inform physicians and appropriate non-physician practitioners participating in medicare that comprehensive care planning services for those with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias is a covered benefit under medicare. Appropriates funds. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO THE HAWAII COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.

Amends the nominating authority of the representatives of the Heeia community development district, Kalaeloa community development district, and Kakaako community development district on the Hawaii Community Development Authority. Provides that the Hawaii Community Development Authority shall not have jurisdiction over the development of lands under the Stadium Authority's jurisdiction. Repeals provisions relating to the stadium development district. Amends Act 268, SLH 2019, by making the Stadium Authority responsible for expending the appropriations made by that Act and authorizing the Stadium Authority, rather than the Hawaii Community Development Authority, to issue the revenue bonds authorized by that Act. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO MEDICAID BENEFITS.

Makes an appropriation to restore certain adult dental benefits to medicaid enrollees. Requires maximization of federal matching funds and pursuit of all known funding sources prior to expending general revenue funds appropriated. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO SPORTS MEDICINE.

Provides a limited exemption from state licensure requirements to out-of-state physicians who accompany a sports team to a specific sporting event in Hawaii or are invited to provide services at a national sport training center, event, or competition in Hawaii, if certain conditions are met. Requires out-of-state physicians to provide notice to the Hawaii medical board.

RELATING TO MEDICAL CANNABIS.

Allows primary caregivers, qualifying out-of-state patients, and caregivers of a qualifying out-of-state patient to access the restricted access area within a medical cannabis retail dispensary. Clarifies violations related to medical cannabis dispensaries. (SD1)

RELATING TO LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE.

Requires the thirty-day lapse or termination notices for long-term care policies to be sent by certified mail, priority mail, or commercial delivery service, or other method of delivery requiring proof of delivery. (SD2)

RELATING TO LITTLE FIRE ANTS.

Authorizes the Department of Agriculture to identify best practices for the treatment of little fire ants in conjunction with the Hawaii Ant Lab. Requires the Department of Agriculture to post on its website best practices for the treatment of little fire ants. Allows the Pest Control Board to revoke, suspend, or refuse to renew any license for violation of any best practice identified by the Department of Agriculture. (SD2)
