RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Establishes the Hawaii three to six out-of-school program for grades kindergarten through twelve. Authorizes the department of education to contract with private providers to furnish out-of-school programs for grades kindergarten through twelve, conducted during after-school hours, on weekends, and during inter-sessions on the premises of the private providers. Specifies that the Hawaii three to six out-of-school program special fund is to be administered by the department of education. Makes appropriations. (SB1515 HD1)

RELATING TO STATE LIBRARY SYSTEM.

Amends the disposition of unclaimed funds in the Unclaimed Property Trust Fund to allocate funds under a certain amount to the Libraries Special Fund and to amend the threshold amount for funds transferred to the General Fund. Amends the time limit for retaining unclaimed funds in the Trust Fund. (SB978 HD2)

RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Renames the teacher national board certification incentive program the national certification incentive program. Expands program eligibility to include school psychologists. Clarifies requirements and incentives of the program. Clarifies that teacher incentives, bonuses, and compensation beyond regular wages are excluded from the per-pupil request and included as separate line items in the budget for public charter schools. RELATING TO CONDOMINIUM VOTING.

Permits a condominium board to direct the use of an electronic voting device at any condominium association meeting regardless of whether a secret ballot is used or required. Requires a condominium board to take reasonable steps to ensure secrecy and integrity of the votes, and that an audit trail be available after the meeting. (SD1)

RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES.

Prohibits written nondisclosure agreements involving sexual assault and sexual harassment as part of an employee's conditions of employment. Prohibits employers from retaliating against an employee for disclosing or discussing sexual harassment or sexual assault. (SB1041 HD2)

RELATING TO THE TRANSIENT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX.

Imposes the transient accommodations tax on mandatory resort fees and requires that those fees be included in gross rental or gross rental proceeds. (SD1)
