Places an unspecified cap on the management fees the research corporation of the University of Hawaii charges the University of Hawaii to support research and training.
Establishes an annual luxury pollution registration fee for nonelectric vehicles over $60,000 beginning 12/31/21. Requires the fees to be deposited in the state highway fund and support the electric vehicle charging system rebate program. Expands the rebate program to include low-income residents of the state. Authorizes entities having a common interest and purpose to organize as general cooperatives.
Requires the thirty-day lapse or termination notices for long-term care policies to be sent by certified mail, priority mail, or commercial delivery service, or other method of delivery requiring proof of delivery.
Requires the superintendent to serve as the summer learning coordinator and coordinate all summer programs for children. Requires the summer learning coordinator to leverage certain federal funds for school-based summer programs. Effective 7/1/50. (SD1)
