RELATING TO AN AIRPORTS CORPORATION.

Establishes the Hawaii Airports Corporation (HAC)to assume the authority, functions, and duties of the DOT related to airports and aeronautics. Makes HAC subject to Chapters 103D and 104, HRS. Provides for project labor agreements. Appropriates funds for the transfer of functions from DOT to HAC. (SB666 HD2)

RELATING TO LAND DEVELOPMENT.

Requires DLNR to allocate revenues from commercial properties within the Banyan Drive redevelopment area to the Banyan Drive Hawaii Redevelopment Agency. RELATING TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Allows an employee to take family leave in addition to victim leave for leave to seek safety, medical attention, or victim services related to domestic or sexual violence against the employee or the employee's minor child. Requires the employee to submit certification and employer confidentiality of information except under certain conditions. (SB1046 HD1)

RELATING TO WATER CIRCULATION.

Requires the Department of Health to collaborate with various agencies to research and develop a plan for a mechanism for increased water circulation in Pokai Bay. Requires the Department of Health to report its activities to the legislature. Takes effect 12/31/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO GARDENS.

Authorizes the Department of Education to develop programs to encourage the development of gardens on school property. Authorizes the Hawaii Community Development Authority to develop programs that provide incentives to establish gardens in housing projects, communities, and schools. (SB303 HD1)

RELATING TO SCHOOLS.

Establishes a Workforce Readiness Program within the Department of Education to allow students to graduate from an extended high school enrollment with an industry-recognized associate's degree to complement the student's high school diploma. Appropriates moneys to develop and implement the program, including (2.0) FTE Educational Specialist II staff positions and (7.0) FTE District Office Teachers. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Requires each county to prepare a housing supply plan to plan for projected increases in the State's housing supply to meet housing demands of the respective county, identify and analyze existing and projected housing needs for all income levels, and identify adequate sites for housing, including rental housing. RELATING TO HOUSING DENSITY.

Authorizes each county to adopt ordinances establishing a minimum housing density on state lands that are within an urban district and zoned for development or redevelopment. Allows developers to be exempt from this requirement under certain conditions. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)
