RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Requires the Department of Accounting and General Services to prepare reports assessing the feasibility of installing distributed energy resource systems at state facilities. Requires state facilities to implement and install the distributed energy resource systems detailed in the reports no later than five years from the issue date of the reports. Assigns priority for the required energy efficiency measures to first responder facilities. (SD1)

RELATING TO CANCER.

Appropriates funds to the University of Hawaiʻi Cancer Center to conduct a multiethnic cohort study focusing on the social determinants of health, lifestyles, environmental exposures, and resilience factors of Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, and Filipinos; provided that the University of Hawaiʻi shall obtain, at a minimum, matching federal funds to conduct the study. RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Authorizes independent generators of renewable energy to wheel the renewable energy transmitted and used to produce hydrogen, subject to certain conditions determined by the Public Utilities Commission. Takes effect 1/1/2060. (SD1)

RELATING TO STATE VEHICLES.

Mandates that fifty per cent of all heavy-duty motor vehicles in the State's fleet be hydrogen or battery electric vehicles by an unspecified date. Mandates that one hundred per cent of all heavy-duty motor vehicles in the State's fleet be hydrogen or battery electric vehicles by December 31, 2035. Defines heavy-duty motor vehicle and hydrogen vehicle. (SD1)
