Limits compelled disclosure of sources or unpublished information for journalists, newscasters, and persons participating in collection or dissemination of news or information of substantial public interest. Establishes exceptions.
Requires the Department of Health to conduct a study to determine the feasibility of implementing a pilot program to integrate prescription digital therapeutic products approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration in outpatient treatment programs for persons with substance use disorder and persons with opioid use disorder in the State. Appropriates funds to improve and maintain the NELHA in its mission to develop and diversify the Hawaiʻi economy by providing resources and facilities for energy and ocean-related research, education, and commercial activities in an environmentally sound and culturally sensitive manner.
Requires at least one individual from each candidate and noncandidate committee to complete mandatory training on key campaign spending laws, reporting requirements, and deadlines at least once every election cycle.
Repeals the exemption granted to churches by Act 22, Session Laws of Hawaiʻi 2020, relating to bonding requirements and fee requirements for licenses, renewals, and reinstatements of licenses applicable to cemeteries and funeral trusts. Clarifies that the Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs shall exempt any cemetery authority from the bonding requirement and the fee requirements for license, renewal, and reinstatement upon proof satisfactory to the Director that the cemetery authority does not sell for financial profit. Effective retroactively to 09/15/2020.
Appropriates funds to the Hawaiʻi Public Housing Authority for the rehabilitation, remodeling, renovation, and repair of housing units without regard to civil service law. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)
