RELATING TO SOCIAL WORK.

Requires the department of public safety, or its successor agency, in collaboration with the department of human services, to develop and establish a social work training program to assist nonviolent incarcerated individuals in the area of social work. RELATING TO HEMP.

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Allows the counties to establish, by ordinance, an opt-in program that allows an annual payment in lieu of real property taxes on the land or improvements thereon that are actively used to produce or store renewable energy that is sold to an electric utility. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO PAID SICK LEAVE.

Requires employers to provide a minimum amount of paid sick leave to employees and supplemental paid sick leave to employees under certain public health emergency conditions. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Land and Natural Resources for the Community Fuels Reduction Project. Beginning with fiscal year 2025-2026, and each fiscal year thereafter, requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to establish the Community Fuels Reduction Project as a separate line item within the Department's budget. RELATING TO ORGANIC WASTE DIVERSION.

RELATING TO GREEN TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE.

Establishes green infrastructure objectives and policies for transportation systems, infrastructure, and projects. Establishes the green transportation infrastructure task force to examine, evaluate, and develop policies for the design, implementation, and maintenance of green transportation infrastructure. RELATING TO MEDIA LITERACY.

Authorizes school complexes to incorporate media literacy in its standards-based curriculum, including content that prevents negative impacts of misinformation, disinformation, digital discrimination, and online hate speech.
